The donkey stone - Zamárdi
A mysterious rock, vulcanic, with many legends surrounding it. A favourite spot for walks.
Donkey - Stone.
It is so named, but not because of its shape, but because of a beautiful, religiously related legend, the stone that is in Zamárdi, also on its western side, a rock with a special, wavy surface.
According to religious legend, Jesus and his parents used to walk on the donkey back at the stone, and traces of the donkey’s hoof can still be seen on the surface of the stone today.
The child Jesus and the donkey also got to the stone after a bunch of grass.
