Tibor Wilt: Mermaid of Lake Balaton

The work made of limestone was inaugurated in 1974 and has been in its original place in the Rose Garden ever since.

The creator of the work is sculptor Tibor Wilt, who was born in 1905 and died in 1983 in Budapest. His work was recognized with the Munkácsy Prize in 1965 and the Kossuth Prize in 1980.
