Memento for the II. Hungarian army - a group of sculptures - was created by the sculptor Imre Varga, which stands in the main square of Siófok.
The military awards, medals are clearly visible on the chrome steel torsos of the three soldiers.
The group of sculptures symbolizes the tragedy of the Hungarian troops who were defeated by the Red Armie in 1943 alongside the Voronyezs (Voronezh). The decorations are an ironic indication that the heroes are victims too. The Hungarian soldiers gave their lives for the false hope that they could win. Therefore the decorations are in vain on the blank uniforms.
